If you can’t see the flute that’s right for you amongst those currently in stock, why not commission your own bespoke flute? It’s easy to do and gives you lots of options. You can specify

• the wood(s) the flute is made from;
• the key it plays in;
• decorative markings, if required (I use pyrography to achieve these);
• The finish (wax or French Polished);
• any particular shaping required.

I’ll happy to talk through your requirements with you and help you finalise your ideas.

Some examples of the woods I have used in the past are: Sapele, Ash, European Oak, Maple, Sycamore and Walnut.

I can make flutes which will play in any of the following keys above Middle C: E, F, F#, G, Ab, A, Bb, B. I haven’t tried anything higher than this; B is starting to approach the limits of the capabilities of flutes of this type. A flute in E above middle C has holes widely spaced enough to need odd placings to allow most people to reach them.

To order your flute, you can contact me by email or using the Contact form on this site, or by telephone. Once we have finalised your requirements and agreed a price, I will issue an order form specifying what we have agreed. Once you have signed and returned the form, along with full payment, work on your bespoke flute can begin.

Delivery is included in the price of your flute. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery of bespoke flutes.
